What’s In Your Box: January New Year

Traditional Bokjori

This bamboo strainer called bokjori (복조리) is part of a Korean New Year tradition and hung up between midnight of 31st December and the dawn of New Year’s Day. The bokjori is believed to prevent bad luck entering the new year and to bring good luck to the family.
