We certainly had a lot to look forward to this month! Many groups had comebacks and we were treated to amazing songs and visuals (like always!). But we also had some exciting and sad news too…
So read on to see if you missed anything this September~!
While we were all still trying to recover from the ‘Ko Ko Bop pandemic’, EXO hit us with a new album, The War, and a fun, sci-fi themed music video for their title song ‘Power’.
The music video features a whole assortment of random stuff, such as; an evil robot, EXO with bedazzled faces and on point outfits, spray painted nerf guns, cartoon characters and a random button pushing kitten!
Also, giving fans a bit of a throwback to the ‘Mama’ days, the ‘Power’ M/V shows us how the members possibly got their infamous superpowers.
The next comeback of September was BTS, who brought us sounds and concepts that we haven’t seen from them before – they wrecked our heads AND the music charts in one go.
After getting us hyped for their comeback with shorts and teasers, BTS dropped their album Love Yourself along with a bright, lighthearted music video for the album’s title track ‘DNA’.
Love Yourself features 9 tracks that all showcase BTS new and unique sounds and continues to break sale records world wide!
Remaining BIGBANG Members to Enlist in Military
After all the drama with fellow member T.O.P’s drug scandal, it has been reported that G-Dragon, Taeyang, Seungri and Daesung are set to enlist for their military service at the beginning of 2018.
Reports also state that even though Daesung and Seungri could have postponed their enlistment, they chose to enlist at the same time as the older members so that BIGBANG might come back as a group sooner – which, according to some media, may be during 2020.
JBJ Debut and Variety Show
After they were formed by fans on Produce 101: Season 2, the boys from JBJ have released dates for their debut AND a variety show which they hope will show their personalities differently to how they were on Produce 101.
The first episode of their show ‘JustBeJoyful JBJ’ aired on the 28th of September and their official debut will be on October 18.
Park Hyung Sik and Jang Dong Gun ‘Suits’ Remake
‘Suits‘ originally takes place in a made up law firm in New York City and the story follows a series of events that begin when an attorney, Harvey Spector, hires Mike Ross, a college drop out.
Set to air in 2018, a Korean adaption of ‘Suits‘ will star Jang Dong Geun as a lawyer named Choi Kyung Seo (Harvey Spector) and Park Hyung-sik as Go Yeon Woo (Mike Ross).
No doubt we’re all excited to see these two act together!
