A music playlist is great motivator when exercising, and what better playlist than a K-pop one! We’ve put together 12 tracks for our readers this month, bound to keep you energised through your workout routine!
1. Seohyun-Bad Love
Every exercise routine should start gradually, so we thought that ‘Bad Love’ would be ideal! A song with attitude and a smattering of brass will ensure a good beginning to any workout.
2. Mino and Zico-Okey Dokey
Nothing like some rap to up the energy levels! ‘Okey Dokey’ is fun too, which will keep you going through that tough first hurdle. Is that true? Yes! Okey dokey yo!
3. Amber x Luna-Heartbeat
The suitably named ‘Heartbeat’ is next on our list! This Amber and Luna collaboration featuring Ferry Corsten and Kago Penchi is a punchy EDM song that will help pick up the pace with its high intensity chorus.
4. GOT7-Hard Carry
‘Hard Carry’ sounds like a song for anyone doing any weight training! The hard-hitting delivery of this track makes it an ideal choice for our playlist.
5. Epik High-Up
A little nostalgia here with ‘Up’ by Epik High, featuring Park Bom of recently disbanded 2NE1. This song is an uplifting blend of rap and vocals from an earlier generation of K-pop.
6. Pentagon-Pretty Pretty
‘Pretty Pretty’ is exactly the uptempo and fun track that you need in a workout, with a lot of catchy elements in the song that will keep you on track to reach your fitness goals.
We picked ‘Crazy’ for this point in the playlist in case you’ve reached a stage of tiredness! You might feel ‘crazy’ for deciding to exercise today, but keep going while accompanied by this internationally popular release!
8. BTS-Blood, Sweat & Tears
Nothing like something from the BTS discography to keep you from flagging during your workout! ‘Blood, Sweat & Tears’ was chosen to reflect the effort you are putting in!
Another rap interlude here, with ‘Holup!’. We’re hoping that maintaining the high intensity in the music will encourage those limbs to keep moving!
10. EXID-I Feel Good
This song by EXID came out when they weren’t that popular yet, but we think it’s one of their best! Sing along to this one; you are nearing the finish line!
A quirky song by f(x) is next! Make sure you step faster while listening to this one!
12. Lee Hi-World Tour
At the end of every workout should be a gradual warm down and decrease in pace. We picked the mid-tempo song ‘World Tour’ by Lee Hi featuring Mino as a cool end to our playlist. You’ve finished and are on top of the world, good job!
