Inspired by KOREA series – 9. Octavian

Story by Octavian:
Like many people right now my 1st pathway to Korea was through music. I first heard the song ‘Gee‘ by SNSD back in 2011 and I was hooked. I loved how cute and catchy it was and it’s one of my favourite songs to date. Then I started to study more about the culture which I knew little about previously. I then found the Korean Culture Centre (UK) and I started to study more about Korea.

It is such a different culture compared to the one I come from and I always find it exciting to learn about new things and different cultures. What attracted me the most is the history of Korea. Learning about all the dynasties is so fascinating. I find myself browsing and reading for hours about it.
Music is a huge part of my life, so I would say Korean Music is my favourite but also the language. I find Korean as a language quite romantic. Its such a nice language and I’d love to learn it. Although it is hard for me to learn I am doing it bit by bit!
