Bastarz’s Selfish and Beautiful Girl – K-MUSIC REVIEW

Having debuted last year with mini-album ‘Conduct Zero’, Block B’s sub-unit Bastarz has made their comeback with the song ‘Selfish and Beautiful Girl’. We’re sure this song will have you up on your feet and dancing in no time!

Instead of the boys being the main focus of the music video, the storyline is actually centred around a young woman. Before the track starts, we see her waking up and starting her morning routine before sitting down on the couch and turning on a video game similar to Just Dance, where the members appear on the screen one by one, dancing to the track.

As the title suggests, the song is about a pretty girl having fun and doing whatever she wants without having any regard for what’s happening around her or how her actions affect others. This is evident not only in the lyrics but also in the MV as well. When P.O, who lives in the apartment below hers in the music video, comes to knock on her door to complain about the noise, she slams the door in his face and goes back to dancing, even though her sink is overflowing and her toast is burnt.

We love the unique concept of this single and are excited to see this sub-unit make their comeback. From an upbeat tune to simple but fun choreography, BASTARZ have really captured our attention and we couldn’t have asked for more!
