Okay, guys, we are officially in the second half of the year. Eeek! The birthdays don’t stop coming even if we want the year too. Here we go!
July 1st – Ahn Jae Hyun
Born the 1st of July 1987, Ahn Jae Hyun, is a well-rounded model come, actor. He started modeling in 2009 but gained recognition as an actor when he stared in the variety show, “Lee Soo Geun and Kim Byung Man’s High Society, in 2011. From there he went on to supporting roles such as Cheon Yoon-Jae in 2013 hit My love From a Star and the 2014 police drama ‘You’re All Surrounded.’
He landed his first leading roll in 2015 with the hit medical drama “blood” about a vampire doctor. He met his wife on the set of blood and they officially married on the 21st of may. Instead of having a wedding they donated the money they would have spent to apediatricc ward.

July 5th – Park Jimin (15&)
Jimin is best known as the winner of the show K-pop Star and as a member of 15&. She is also a co-host of the variety show After School Club.
In 2011, Ji-min stared in the first season of competition television show K-pop Star. She finished in first place and won the opportunity to choose to be signed with one of the big 3 entertainment companies in Korea. YG, SM or JYP. She chose JYP Entertainment and also received a brand new Hyundai i40 and 300 million won, was cast in a drama, and was also given an opportunity to sign a contract with a modeling agency. Quite the prize.
In October 2012, she donated 50 million won to the Hanbit Performing Arts Company for blind musicians. When asked about it, Ji-min said, “The Hanbit Performing Arts Company hosts young, elementary school students as well as professional performers. Although they are blind, they are musicians who are performing with amazing talent. I want to be at least a small help to those who have the same love for music that I have.” She has also donated 50 million won to World Vision. Park also collaborated with singer Eric Nam for their song, “Dream”, produced by Sweetune. They revealed all profit made from the song would be donated to charity.

July 10th – Gong Yoo
Best known for his roles in the SPECTACULAR drama Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016–2017), also known as Goblin, the hugely popular zombie blockbuster ‘Train to Busan’ (2016) and blockbuster hit ‘The Age of Shadows’ (2016). All highly recommended. Gong Yoo always stuns with his chameleon-like abilities at adapting to any role.
He also mentioned he would rather save his cat in a zombie apocalypse than a human. I think we can all relate to that, right?!
In November 2013, the good guy he is, Gong Yoo was appointed as a special representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Korea. Following his appointment, he visited countries around the world to raise awareness of the situation of children in underdeveloped countries. Happy Birthday!
July 14th – Lee Kwang Soo
He made his acting debut in the sitcom “Here He Comes” (2008). He then received further recognition for his roles in the medical melodrama It’s Okay, That’s Love (2014), the neo-noir film Confession (2014), the black comedy film Collective Invention (2015), the one-act play Puck! (2016), and the sitcom The Sound of Your Heart (2016).
Besides acting, Lee is also known for being one of the regular cast members of the South Korean variety show Running Man since 2010
gaining the nickname “Prince of Asia” due to his large number of overseas fans. In 2010 and 2011, Lee won back-to-back awards at the SBS Entertainment Awards for “New Star Award” and “Best Newcomer in Variety” respectively.
In September 2017, It was confirmed that Lee will be a fixed cast member in Netflix’s variety show Busted!
July 17th – Junhyeok
Im Jun-hyeok, commonly known as Junhyeok, is a singer and drummer and a former member of DAY6. Junhyeok left JYP Entertainment on 22nd February 2016 and made his debut as a soloist exactly 2 years later in 2018. Catch his classy debut single “stay” on YouTube.
July 23rd – Hwasa (Mamamoo)
Ahn Hye-jin, better known as Hwasa. The gorgeous singer and rapper, signed under Rainbow Bridge World, is the sub-vocalist, lead rapper and maknae of super cool girl group Mamamoo. She has gained a lot recognition from international fans because of her beauty breaking away from traditional Korean beauty standards.

July 31st – Lizzy (After School)
Park Soo-young known by her stage name Lizzy, is a singer and actress. She is a former member of the girl group After School and is a member of its sub-unit Orange Caramel. In March 2010, she debuted in After School with the release of their third single, “Bang!”, and debuted as a solo singer in January 2015 with “Not an Easy Girl”. She has acted in various films and television shows. In 2011, Lizzy was briefly a cast member of Running Man. That same year, she made her acting debut as a supporting character on the sitcom, All My Love.
In July 2013, Lizzy made a small appearance in a Japanese horror drama, playing the role of a Korean foreign student named Tehi.
