What an awesome month for k-dramas! Quite a lot of the dramas that are releasing sound super interesting and different. Big names, lots of big names, a few of which are quite unexpected, are involved in dramas this month. I don’t know about you but we’re super excited for September.  Most of the dramas mentioned below are creating a buzz, not only in Korea but internationally as well, the positive reviews are through the roof!

Summary: A heartwarming romantic comedy about neighborly affection, and the meaning of home, family, and friendship. The story focuses on the friendship and love lives of three 35-year-old single women living in rundown apartments. Things begin to change when the boy they liked in their youth shows up one day igniting the spark of romance for each of them.

Summary:  This drama focuses on Hyun-Soo, a young woman who aspires to be a drama series writer, and Jung-Sun, a young man who has dreams of becoming a French food chef. They begin chatting online under the usernames “Jane” and “Chakhan Seupeu” (Good Soup) Eventually they meet and realize that they already know each other…having previously been in love when they were younger.

Under his guidance, she receives strict training and grows as a reporter.

Summary: This story is set in Daegu, South Korea during the 1970’s, and focuses around the adventures of Lee Jung-Hee and her friends. Lee Jung-Hee is a student in the 2nd grade of high school and the second daughter of a family who runs an underwear factory.

Magic School 마술학교

Summary: The story focuses on the lives of these individuals. Na-Ra, a university student who has never had a girlfriend in his life. He wants to become a public servant. Jay, a popular magician mired in deep sadness. Joon, a poor but warmhearted intern at a hospital. These people gather at a magic school led by Master Han and his daughter Yi-Seul, who yearns to become a dancer, not a magician.
