K-Drama OST Spotlight: August 2017

K-Drama OST Spotlight: August 2017

There are many factors that contribute towards making a great drama. The story, acting, dialogue, chemistry, and cinematography (just to name a few)…but there is one thing that ties all of these things together and helps make them shine. The soundtrack!

Whether it is simply instruments filling the background, or incredible voices pulling even more emotion out of a scene, the dramas we know and love wouldn’t be the same without their OSTs (Original Sound Track).

There are many new K-Drama OST songs released each month, and even if you aren’t watching the drama, these songs are well worth checking out! So…

Here are three of our favourite drama OST songs that released this month!

Lee Ye-Joon – If You Feel the Same Way

– The Man Who Dies To Live OST

Ye-Joon’s pure vocals, accompanied by the melodic piano, perfectly convey a sense of longing and heartbreak that make this song so emotional and beautiful. With the addition of the sweeping string instruments and acoustic guitar, how could we not fall in love with this song?

Inkii – I Am

– Save Me OST

This song perfectly fits the dark nature of this drama. The haunting tones of Inkii’s voice give the song an almost otherworldly feel. Is it just us or does this kind of sound like it could be a James Bond theme song? Hands up if you would also love to see a Korean singer singing a Bond song!

 Jung Joon Young – Stay

– The King in Love OST

At first listen, we weren’t quite sure whether Joon-Young’s rock voice would really suit a period drama, as it turns out, we couldn’t have been more wrong! The song portrays the heart of someone wanting to stay with the one they love no matter what! Something many people can relate to ^-^

Here are a few other songs we recommend you check out as well ^-^
