Being the capital city of South Korea, Seoul is a mix of both modern and traditional elements, featuring unique buildings such as the Dongdaemun Design Plaza and the LOTTE World Tower, ancient palaces like Gyeongbok, beautiful scenic locations like Han River and Cheonggyecheon as well as places such as Myeongdong. Itaewon and Hongdae which serve as the cities’ largest fashion, music, art and shopping districts.
On top of that, Seoul offers many tourist attractions like the N Seoul Tower, LOTTE World, Namdaemun and Bukhan Mountain.
Idols born in Seoul include; Jonghyun (SHINee), G-Dragon (BIGBANG), Bom (2NE1), Leo and Hongbin (Vixx), Yoona (Girls Generation) Park Hyun-sik (ZE:A) and Siwon (Super Junior).

Busan, South Korea’s second largest city, is a place that perfectly blends natural elements with industrial growth.
Surrounded by stunning mountain ranges and beautiful beaches, such as Haeundae and Gwangalli, Busan offers many scenic sights and activities – including hikes in Geumjeongsan Mountain, walks in Yongdusan Park, which features Busan Tower, and trips to the Busan Aquarium!
Right beside Seoul is the wharf city of Incheon. In 1883, Incheon was the first city in Korea to become open to the rest of the world by becoming an international port, since then this city has become a thriving location for foreign trade and travellers!
Along with this port came the establishment of Incheon’s Chinatown, which has become one of the city’s most popular destinations for locals and travellers – it is also the birthplace of Jjajangmyeon.
Other attractions include Bupyeong Station Underground Shopping Centre, Jayu Park, Wolmi Theme Park and the Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village.
Idols that hail from Incheon are; Minho (SHINee), Hyrorin (SISTAR), Jaehyun (N.Flying), Yerin (G.Friend) and Bang Yongguk (B.A.P).
Daegu is South Korea’s fourth largest city, and was once apart of the ancient kingdom of Silla. Along with it’s rich history, Daegu is known for it’s fashion and textile industry as well as being a large metropolitan area.
Sights to see in Daegu include the Daegu Seomun Market, Unmunsa Temple, Yangnyeonsi Market, and festivals such as the Daegu International Body Painting Festivals and the Starlight Fairy Town Lighting Festival.
Idols from Daegu are; Key (SHINee), Bona (Cosmic Girls), Irene (Red Velvet), Taehung and Suga (BTS), S.Coups (Seventeen) and JUN.K (2PM).
Gwangju has long been recognised as the economic and education centre of the southwestern part of Korea. It has also long established itself as the Hub City of Asian Culture.
With attractions like the Naganeupseong Folk Village, the Icheon Ceramics Village, Yulpo Beach, Soswaewon Garden and the Boseong Green Tea Plantation.
Idols from Gwangju include; Seungri (BIGBANG), Minzy, Hongki (FT ISLAND), Hyemi (Nine Muses) and Suzy (miss A).
South Korea’s fifth largest city is Daejeon – which is known for being a ‘Hub of Transportation’, being home to two major railway and express lines join, as well as the centre for television and media.
Daejeon’s sights include the Expo Bridge, Daejeon Zoo, Daejeon O-Park, Yuseong Spa and 18 universities.
Idols born in Daejeon include; Song Joon-ki (Descendants of the Sun),Park Jimin, Hyuk (Vixx), Wooshin (UP10TION) and Jo Bo-ah (Shut Up! Flower Boy Band).
Lastly, South Korea’s sixth largest city – Ulsan! Known as an ‘Industrial Powerhouse’, Ulsan is home to the worlds largest automobile assembly line and the largest ship-yard.
Attractions in Ulsan feature the silver grassed hills of the Yeongnam Alps, the Onngi ‘Earth-ware’ Village, Ulsan Grand Park, Taehwagang River Grand Park and Ilsan Beach.
