10 Places In Korea That Need To Make It Into Your Instagram Feed

If you’re lucky enough to have booked yourself a trip to South Korea, you’ll definitely be wanting to take lots of photos while you’re there! Everything you see over there is of course worth taking a snapshot of, but here are 10 especially beautiful places which you should visit. Just don’t forget your camera!

1. Incheon Grand Park

If natural beauty is your style, then the Incheon Grand Park should be on your list of places to visit. Surrounded by two mountains with seemingly endless shrubbery and plants, this park acts as the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.

2. Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP)

Having only been created a few years ago, the DDP has quickly become a landmark, especially in the design industry. Comprised of five different halls, it is the world’s largest atypical architectural structure. Its unusual shape is probably what makes it one of the most frequently tagged photos in Korea on Instagram. Why not join this trend and pay the DDP a visit?

3. Songwol-dong Fairytale Village

What’s better than a museum of art? A whole village of art of course! Located near the Incheon Port, this village was renovated with large, fairy-tale themed paintings in order to attract more visitors after many of its young residents moved away. Pose with Snow White, Cinderella and many more classic characters in this colourful village!

4. Gyeongbokgung Palace

Palaces are definitely a must see in Korea, but arguably the most impressive and noteworthy one is Gyeongbokgung Palace. The best time to go is at either 10am or 2pm with the changing of the Royal Guard in front of Gwanghwamun, the Palace’s main gate. Seeing traditions that date back to the Joseon Dynasty take place with urban high rises in the background is truly a sight to behold.

5. Namsangol Hanok Village

If you’re interested in capturing the rich culture of Korea, then this is the place for you. As you walk through the streets you’ll feel like you’re walking through history itself. With lots of activities for the visitors, from traditional tea ceremonies to performances, you can really imagine what life must’ve been like all those centuries ago. It’s the best way to take a snapshot of Korea’s history!

6. Cheonjiyeon Falls

Pretty much everything on Jeju Island is absolutely stunning, but we think this waterfall is worth a special mention. It was given this name, meaning sky connected with land, due to the way the water looks like it’s falling from the heavens.

7. Garosugil

Garosugil means ‘tree-lined street’ and the main one recognised by both tourists and citizens alike is in Sinsadong, Gangnam province. With the streets absolutely filled with trendy shops, such as the LINE Café, the trees create a lovely shopping experience and make the city seem rather romantic!

8. Gwangalli Beach

Busan is best known for its beaches, and this one is definitely a landmark for the city. With such soft sand and clear water, it’ll look absolutely stunning on camera! We recommend taking a picture facing the Gwangandaeyo bridge, as this is an iconic shot.

9. Ewha Women’s University

Who would’ve thought that a university campus could be so beautiful? With both old and new architecture, including the coolest staircase ever, you should take plenty of pictures here. The area nearby is full of the trendiest shops and café’s, so make sure to take a rest stop there afterwards.

10. Yeouido Hangang Park

The Han River is absolutely huge, with lots of parks and other attractions along the river banks. The most famous and popular park is known as the Yeouido Hangang Park and its absolutely gorgeous! Of course the luscious trees and greenery are worth capturing on camera at all times of the year. However, if you happen to be visiting in springtime, you should definitely experience the annual Cherry Blossom Festival!

And that’s everything from us! We hope this list inspires you to either book a trip to Korea, or put a few of these places on your itinerary for your upcoming trip!
