Must-Buy Souvenirs From South Korea

Hooray! You’ve booked your ticket to South Korea and it’s not long until you’ll be able to enjoy this land of rich culture with both ancient landmarks and bustling urban cities.
Now, you’re probably wondering what souvenirs you should get for your friends and family, or even for yourself so you can make the most of your trip. Well, you’ve come to the right place! We have compiled a list of exclusively Korean items to buy and where to get them.

1. Korean snacks – LOTTE Mart / E-Mart / Home Plus

From Tteokbokki crackers to Market O Real Brownies and of course Peppero, there’s something for everyone! Make sure to visit your nearest supermarket for Korean goodies at reasonable prices.

2. Beauty Products – Myeongdong 명동

Myeongdong is essentially the beauty product capital in Korea where all the brands are in the same place. Nature Republic, Skinfood and Laneige are only some of the many brands on offer.

3. Traditional Korean souvenirs – Namsam Tower N 서울타워, Insadong 인사동, Namdaemun Market 남대문시장

If it’s historical trinkets which scream ‘Korea’ that you want, make sure to go to Insadong or Namdaemun market. Also, the Namsam Tower in Seoul has a cute gift shop full of quirky souvenirs which is worth checking out.

4. Cute Stationery – Seoul

Why not buy some adorable stationery for the new academic year, or just to brighten up your office space? It is inexpensive yet unique at the same time – a perfect gift!

5. K-Pop Merchandise – Itaewon, Namdaemun, Myeongdong

What trip to South Korea wouldn’t be complete without stocking up on some K-Pop merchandise? Although the albums are a bit expensive in Korea, it is still cheaper than buying online so it’s worth buying one (two, or five!)

Such a helpful list! Also it’s great that you named the places where I could buy stuff because that makes it alot easier to search for them! Great article!
