We don’t know about you, but one of our favourite things about K-Pop is the gorgeous music videos! From the beautifully bright colours to clever concepts and story lines, they’re all oozing creativity. However, some of them really stand out from the rest, which we will highlight for you now!
4 Walls – f(x)
When this music video was released back in 2015, we didn’t think it could possibly be better than their previous comeback ‘Red Light’. Turns out we were wrong! With mysterious, meaningful lyrics, beautiful cinematography and a unique sound that we hadn’t yet heard in K-Pop, this track has it all. Watch the video above to see for yourself!
Blood, Sweat and Tears – BTS
Anyone who’s ever watched a BTS music video knows that they always have a great concept, deep storylines and thoughtful lyrics that echo the opinions of the youth of today. It’s hard to pick a favourite from this group, but we think they really outdid themselves with ‘Blood, Sweat & Tears’. From the beautiful special effects used throughout to the bonus storyline clips weaved into the MV, we’re sure this track will go down in history!
Twenty-Three – IU
There’s so much to love about this music video, it’s difficult to know where to begin! As the title suggests, IU sings about what problems she faces as a 23 year old woman in today’s society and how she doesn’t feel like a child or an adult. This message is reflected through the clever cinematography and we love how the message is easy for everyone to understand.
Q&A – Seventeen feat. Ailee
If you’re looking for a cutesy K-Pop MV with bright colours everywhere, then this is it! Featuring three members of Seventeen as well as the sassy soloist Ailee, ‘Q&A’ is about a typical high school crush which is always more complicated than you first thought. With such beautiful visuals from both the artists and the video itself, you’ll be watching this video again and again. One thing’s for sure – you’ll get serious stationery envy!
That’s everything from us! Of course there are so many beautiful MVs out there, but these are just some of our favourites. We hope that you agree with our choices! Happy watching!
