Set in the early 2000’s, of Incheon, South Korea. All before the port town was re-vamped, and the town was very dark, dingy and male-orientated.
This film follows the lives of five friends, and how they transition into adult life, after leaving High School.
Each girl has a different personality and come from different social classes.

Tae Hee 태헤
Works for free in her family’s sauna, and volunteers for a poet that suffers with cerebral palsy.
Ji Young 지영
Is a struggling artist, that is always between low paying jobs; whilst taking care of her grandparents.
Bi Ryu 비류 and Ohn Jo 온조
Identical twins that attempt to make a living, by selling handmade jewellery on the street.
This coming-of-age story shows the view of Incheon 인천 through the eyes of women, and was made around the time of the new millennium. We find that tragedy strikes (of course), which causes one of the characters to be come completely hopeless. She is then rescued by another, whom rebels against her family, and they end up travelling the world together.
The cinematography gave a very rustic and dull feel to Incheon 인천, and the lives of the five women.
The one element of hope, was the cat, which acted as an aid of relaxation; and made all problems seem trivial for small moments.
What we enjoyed the most was the nostalgic feel throughout the film. Being set in the year of 2001, the absence of camera and colour mobile phones, where the fashion was typically 2000’s made this film one of our favourites at the London Korean Film Festival.
