Midnight Runners is a youthful, action-comedy thriller that stars Park Seo-joon (Hwarang) and Kang Ha-neul (Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo) as two playful cadets who  become unlikely friends and get into absurd situations together!

After constantly running into each other whilst training at the Police Academy, the rational Hee-yeol (Kang) and the loud Ki-joon (Park) somehow form a bond as they go through the academy’s harsh exercises and tiring exams.

Halfway through their four year training, Ki-joon and Hee-yeol witness a young girl being kidnapped and driven off in a van. They then take it upon themselves to try and rescue her (despite only being students) and thus set off on a wild and action-packed adventure that leads them to all sorts of dangerous people!

Midnight Runners is half ‘rogue cop duo’ comedy and half serious thriller, giving audiences the best of both genres!

From embarrassing escapades in dodgy ear cleaning salons to bloody group fights to bumping into celebrities in nightclubs –  this film takes us all on a journey with Ki-joon and Hee-yeol as they not only solve crime, but also mature and grow closer as friends~
